Chennai, 25 Oct (City Times): (Sekar Babu hits out at Governor): State Minister for HR & CE P K Sekar Babu has slammed Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi for acting as a “stumbling block” for the development of Tamil Nadu.
Governor Ravi follows divide and rule formula
He said the Governor resembled like a BJP state president and RSS member and followed the divide and rule formula in the name of religion and caste.

Ravi is a barrier to the development of state
He called Ravi a “barrier” to the development of the state and stated the DMK government would remove the barriers and take the state on the path of development.
DMK regime follows governance of spirituality
The DMK regime functions like a “governance of spirituality”, the minister said and listed out the programmes implemented by the HR & CE department since the party came to power.
He noted that six Rajagopurams have been constructed, while renovation and restoration of seven temple chariots was done at a cost of ₹7.58 crore.
Defunct car temples restored in the last 2 years
Several defunct temple cars have been restored in the last two years and taken out in processions during temple festivals. The department has also taken up work to build the Rajagopuram in Kurungaleeswarar temple in Koyambedu.
Consecrations performed in 1,093 temples
Under the current DMK regime, the department organised and performed consecrations in as many as 1,093 temples and temple properties worth ₹ 5,472 crore have been retrieved from encroachers, he remarked.
