PM Modi Egypt Visit: bilateral talks between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Naredra Modi centred on trade and investment, military and security, renewable energy, and interpersonal and cultural relations

Cairo, 25 June(City Times): Sunday’s bilateral talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo were centred on trade and investment, military and security, renewable energy, and interpersonal and cultural relations. the fusion of diverse connections On June 25, 2023, in Cairo, PM @narendramodi and President @AlsisiOfficial had a fruitful meeting. The leaders talked on ways to strengthen bilateral ties in areas including commerce and investment, security and defence, renewable energy, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people ties. The presidents signed a document to upgrade their bilateral relationship to a “Strategic Partnership”. The ministry of external affairs’ spokeswoman, Arindam Bagchi, tweeted.

Additionally, he said, three MoUs in the areas of agriculture, archaeology & antiquities, and competition law were inked.The Order of the Nile, the highest state decoration bestowed by Egypt, was presented to Modi by Egyptian President Sisi. Modi is the second Indian prime leader to visit Egypt on an official visit in 26 years. Since taking office in 2014, the prime minister has received 13 foreign honours.PM Modi had earlier in the day visited the Dawoodi Bohra community of India’s rebuilt 11th-century Al-Hakim mosque. “It was an honour to visit Cairo’s iconic Al-Hakim Mosque. It’s a powerful monument to Egypt’s illustrious past and vibrant present, Modi tweeted.

Later, Modi paid respects to the Indian troops who valiantly fought and died in Egypt and Palestine during the First World War by paying a visit to the Heliopolis Commonwealth War Cemetery.The Prime Minister honoured the more than 4,300 brave Indian troops who gave their lives in Egypt and Aden during the First World War, according to a press statement from the MEA.
