New Delhi, 09 December(City Times): PM Modi Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra: In a Virtual Programme with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Listened the inspiring journey of individuals who have chosen agriculture as their calling. The VBSY, an extensive nationwide initiative, aims to ensure the saturation of government flagship schemes, ensuring timely benefits for all targeted beneficiaries.

The interaction began with Shri Alpeshbhai Chandubhai Nizama, an ITI-certified farmer and diploma holder in hardware engineering from Bharuch, Gujarat. His decision to transition from a job to farming on his ancestral 40-acre land sparked curiosity. Alpeshbhai shared his experience of leveraging both state and central government schemes, obtaining subsidized farming equipment and a substantial Rs 3 lakh subsidy for drip irrigation techniques. The Prime Minister marveled at the significant shift, stating, “At your age, I did not know what lakh rupees looked like, and you are talking about lakhs. This is the change.”

Notably, he received the prestigious ‘Best Farmer Award’ from ATMA in Bharuch, an accolade presented by the Prime Minister himself.
