Chennai, 22 July (City Times): Threat to earth and science is a threat to humanity, we need to take it seriously and deal with it. Addressing the silver jubilee function of the National Centre for Coastal Research (NCCR) union earth and Science Minister Kiren Rijiju said india is going to play the lead role in Ocean coastal research. Talking about the two day workshop the union minister said that the recommendation given by the committee would be taken up seriously and will soon start working on it.
We need to Co-ordinate further recommendations should be followed up. The global community has just started learning inside and beneath the ocean, it is a long way to go. for the larger contribution of the blue economy we need to understand Ocean life.
National Centre for coastal research NCCR Chennai has completed 25 years of its service in addressing the coastal challenges by implementing society’s important research programs.
Accommodation of its Inception is holding red core 29 2023 workshop involving stakeholders from the coastal States, national Laboratories, ministries, academia and international delegates from Indo- Pacific region that includes delegates from UNESCO-IOC France, JAMSTEC Japan, Vietnam, Norway.
The workshop was focused on a dressing management and coastal production climate change and coastal flooding new economy Ghoshna counting marine pollution system services including the special sessions like brainstorming for the young children and the stakeholders from the coastal state department discussing various issues and challenges.
The event was graced by secretaries of the ministry of earth Sciences please like Mrs beate Gabrielson Counselor head of political section from the Norwegian Embassy, New Delhi and the gathering was the best by Secretary, Ministry of earth sciences Dr. M Ravichandran.
