Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates Grand Sant Ravidas Memorial and Unveils Development Projects in Madhya Pradesh

Symbolizing Unity and Progress, Prime Minister Modi Commences Bhoomi Poojan for Sant Ravidas Temple and Spotlights Inclusive Development

Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, 12 August (City Times): Amid an aura of reverence and aspiration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi orchestrated the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony at the Sant Shiromani Gurudev Shri Ravidas Memorial Sthal, a monumental edifice set to rise on over 11.25 acres in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district. As a mark of homage, the Prime Minister also paid his respects to the effigy of the eminent social reformer, Sant Ravidas.

With a grand budget exceeding Rs 100 crores, the sprawling Sant Shiromani Gurudev Shri Ravidas ji Memorial will manifest as a beacon of wisdom and inspiration, adorned with an exquisite art museum and gallery, dedicated to illuminating the life, teachings, and philosophy of Sant Ravidas. Designed to cater to devotees, the memorial complex encompasses provisions such as Bhakt Niwas (Devotee Lodgings) and Bhojanalay (Cafeteria).

This ambitious endeavor found its roots in the announcement made by State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in February this year, pledging the construction of the Sant Ravidas Temple and a tribute to his legacy in Badtuma, Sagar district, meticulously executed in the distinctive Nagar architectural style.

Amidst the grandeur, the memorial complex will also house an interpretive museum, encapsulating the essence and persona of Sant Ravidas. Within the expanse of its four galleries, visitors will find themselves immersed in a journey through Bhakti Marg (Path of Devotion), delving into Sant Ravidas’s indelible influence on the Nirgun Panth (Path of Formless Worship), his profound philosophical revelations, and the tapestry of his literary heritage – each thread interweaving to illuminate the profound tapestry of unity and concord.

In tandem with the sanctified ceremony, Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the poll-bound state was marked by the dedication and laying of the foundation stone for critical rail and road projects collectively valued at over Rs 4,000 crores.

Among the projects, the augmentation of the Kota-Bina rail route held prominence, adding an additional track at a cost exceeding Rs 2,475 crores. Spanning Kota and Baran districts in Rajasthan, as well as Guna, Ashok Nagar, and Sagar districts in Madhya Pradesh, this strategic development promises improved mobility and enhanced train speeds.

Likewise, the foundation stone was laid for two transformative road initiatives, slated to cost more than Rs 1,580 crores. In an overarching address resonating with the spirit of inclusive growth, Prime Minister Modi affirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to uplifting marginalized sections of society. With palpable pride, he proclaimed, “Today, for the first time in our nation’s history, Dalits, backward classes, and tribals are experiencing the reverence they rightfully deserve.”

Reflecting on the transformational journey, PM Modi lauded the central government’s initiatives in promoting the welfare of tribal communities and backward segments, citing the rejuvenation of the Sant Ravidas temple in Varanasi, the inauguration of the Global Steel Park in Bhopal named after Saint Ravidas Ji, and the development of vital sites associated with Babasaheb Ambedkar. The Prime Minister’s speech also celebrated the establishment of museums across the nation to immortalize the rich tribal heritage, while commemorating Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birthday as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas (Tribal Pride Day).

Paying homage to iconic figures, PM Modi highlighted the symbolic renaming of Habibganj railway station in honor of Rani Kamalapati of the Gond community and the designation of the Patalpani station after Tantya Mama.

In a resounding conclusion, Prime Minister Modi encapsulated the evolving ethos, proclaiming that Dalits, backward classes, and tribals were finally receiving the acknowledgment and esteem they have long deserved, marking a significant stride towards an egalitarian and empowered India.
