Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, 04 September ( City Times): Rajnath Singh Demands Apology: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, while launching the BJP’s ‘Parivartan Sankalp Yatra’ from Ramdevara in Jaisalmer, called on Congress and Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc leaders to apologize for comments made by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin regarding Sanatan Dharma.

Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Controversial Remarks
Udhayanidhi Stalin stirred controversy when he suggested that Sanatan Dharma should not only be opposed but eradicated. He His continuously defending his views after the statement got viral. Udhayanidhi is reiterating his views and firmly agrees that he stated that Sanatana dharma should be eradicated.

Demand for Apology
Rajnath Singh expressed his concerns, stating, “Congress ally DMK is insulting Sanatan Dharma. They say that Sanatan Dharma should be abolished. Allies of the INDIA coalition have kept silent on this. Why Gehlot ji is silent, and Sonia ji silent? Congress and INDIA should apologize.”
Deteriorating Law and Order Situation
The Defence Minister also highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation in Rajasthan, noting an increase in crimes against women.
“Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is sitting in the driver’s seat, but someone else is pressing the clutch and accelerator of the vehicle. The condition of law and order in Rajasthan has become very bad. Crimes against women have increased a lot. Incidents of rape with small girls are coming to the fore. Development is not possible when there is a terrible situation of law and order,” he asserted.

Spreading the Message of New India
The ‘Parivartan Sankalp Yatra’ aims to spread the message of New India throughout Rajasthan. Rajnath Singh emphasized the positive perspective that India holds globally due to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Not only the people of India but also the big countries of the world are looking at India with hope, expectation, and desire due to the work done by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last nine years,” he added.
Upcoming Assembly Elections
Rajasthan is among the five states set to hold assembly elections later this year, alongside Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Mizoram. In the 2018 elections, the Congress secured 99 seats, while the BJP won 73 seats in the 200-member house. The Congress, led by Ashok Gehlot, formed the government with the support of independents and the BSP.
