CHENNAI, 12 August,(City Times): The Tamil Nadu school education department has introduced a new approach to improve the quality of education by directing coordinators to supervise various initiatives within schools. This is a part of the larger unified school education program that aims to foster better learning outcomes through self-assessment and practical application of subjects.

At present, there are 710 school coordinators responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of these educational programs under Tamilnadu School Education Department. These coordinators will now also monitor the progress of new initiatives, as per a circular released by the education department.

To keep track of the progress, each initiative’s coordinator will utilize the Educational Management Information System (EMIS) portal. This system will enable streamlined monitoring and reporting mechanisms.

The appointed coordinators are also tasked by Tamilnadu School Education Department with supervising school activities and reporting on their advancements. This collaborative approach is designed to elevate the overall quality of the education system in the state, leveraging a range of innovative initiatives.

The education department also mentioned that certain coordinators will represent initiatives such as the Tamil Nadu Science Forum (TNSF), PARIKSHAN, AID INDIA, and CHUDAR. These coordinators will be integrated into the EMIS system, ensuring cohesive coordination and efficient management of educational initiatives.
