Chennai, 12 August(City Times): In a recognition of their dedication and outstanding performance, eight police officers from Tamil Nadu, including four women officers, are set to be honored with the Union Home Minister’s excellence medal for performing well in investigation for the year 2023. This prestigious award is being presented to a total of 140 police personnel from different states and central investigation agencies.
Since its establishment in 2018, this medal has aimed to elevate the standards of crime investigation and acknowledge exceptional achievements in the field. The recipients include 15 personnel from CBI, 12 from NIA, and varying numbers from other states and organizations. Notably, the honorees encompass 22 accomplished women police officers.
Among the distinguished awardees of Union Home Minister’s excellence medal from Tamil Nadu are Police Inspectors S Vanitha, R Vijaya, K Ramya, S Saraswathi, A Ravikumar, and S Gopalakrishnan. Additionally, the accolade will be conferred upon Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Victor S John, and Deputy Commissioner of Police R Pon Karthik Kumar. These officers’ dedication and contributions reflect their commitment to upholding law and order, ensuring safety, and enhancing investigation standards in the state.
