Srinagar, 15 Oct (City Times): (Orange alert in Kashmir): Kashmir experienced a fresh spell of snowfall even as the plains received rainfall, with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an “orange alert” on Saturday night.

Warning of heavy rain in parts of J-K and Ladakh

The IMD also issued a warning of heavy rain and snowfall in parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh over the next two to three days.attributing to an intense Western Disturbance.

An “orange alert” was also issued of heavy rain and snowfall in parts of J&K and Ladakh over the next two to three days after the first intense Western Disturbance of the season.

To influence northwest and central India till October 17

This would influence northwest and central India till October 17, sources in the IMD said. Thunderstorms and lightning are predicted in parts of J&K and Ladakh as a cyclonic circulation has developed over central Pakistan and neighbouring regions.
