Dhanbad, 09 June(City Times). Three people were killed in the collapse of an illegal coal mine in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad district on Friday. Many people are suspected to be buried in the accident. Dhanbad SP Sanjeev Kumar said that the illegal mine collapse of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) has been reported at Bhauran in Jharia. A dead body has been recovered. Rescue operation is underway. It is not yet known how many people are buried inside. We are waiting for the BCCL report. After that further action will be taken.
Due to the collapse of a coal mine of BCCL (Bharat Coking Coal Ltd.) in Jharia of Dhanbad, about one and a half dozen people, who were secretly extracting coal, got buried. Out of these, the death of three people is reported, while 14-15 people were injured. This accident took place in the early morning today in the mine located at a place called Bhaura. It’s being told that everyday a large number of people prize coal by illegal mining then. On Friday morning, when the shaft( roof) of the mine suddenly caved in, there was a tinge and cry. Two of them failed on the spot, while there’s news of another person’s death latterly. Eight- ten people were taken out from under the coal debris with the help of original people, some of these injured are being treated in original hospitals.people contended that the bootleggers were getting coal booby-trapped immorally with the collusion of the CISF and the original police.
