Amit Shah Strongly Reacts On Udhayanidhi Statement: The Home Minister alleged that these remarks were part of the INDIA bloc’s vote-bank politics and appeasement strategy.

New Delhi, 02 September (City Times): Amit Shah Strongly Reacts On Udhayanidhi Statement: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing a gathering in Dungarpur, Rajasthan, during the launch of BJP’s Parivartan Yatra, voiced his concerns about the recent remarks made by Sports and Youth affairs Minister Of Tamilnadu Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Shah’s statement suggested that the Opposition bloc INDIA harbours disdain for Hinduism, viewing it as an attack on the country’s cultural heritage. The Home Minister alleged that these remarks were part of the INDIA bloc’s vote-bank politics and appeasement strategy. This comes amidst a heated debate over Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments about “Sanatana Dharma,” which have sparked controversy and drawn criticism from BJP leaders.

Vote Bank Politics and Appeasement Accusations

Amit Shah strongly criticized the remarks made by Udhayanidhi Stalin, characterizing them as indicative of INDIA bloc’s divisive politics. He asserted that these statements are rooted in “vote-bank politics” and an “appeasement” strategy aimed at catering to a particular section of the electorate.

Shah’s comments come as BJP leaders and other political figures denounced Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks, labeling them as an endorsement of genocide. They questioned whether all members of the INDIA bloc, which includes DMK, endorse the DMK leader’s divisive views.

Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Response and Support

In response to the mounting criticism, Udhayanidhi Stalin clarified his stance. He asserted that he never called for the genocide of individuals practicing Sanatana Dharma. According to him, Sanatana Dharma perpetuates division along caste and religious lines, and uprooting it is essential for upholding human equality. Udhayanidhi Stalin maintained that he spoke on behalf of oppressed and marginalized sections of society who suffer due to the Sanatana Dharma’s impact.

Support for Udhayanidhi Stalin’s views emerged from Karti Chidambaram, a Congress leader and son of former Home Minister P. Chidambaram. Karti Chidambaram contended that Sanatana Dharma is a disguise for a caste-based hierarchical society. He asserted that those advocating for it yearn for the return of a caste system, which he considered a curse for India.

Amit Shah’s Condemnation of INDIA Bloc

Amit Shah strongly criticized the DMK and Congress, both members of the INDIA bloc, for their leaders’ controversial remarks. He accused the bloc of insulting the country’s heritage and Sanatana Dharma over the past few days. Shah particularly cited Rahul Gandhi’s 2010 statement, in which he compared Hindu organizations to terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba. He also referenced Congress leader Sushil Kumar Shinde’s remarks on “Hindu terror.” Shah emphasized that Sanatana Dharma holds a special place in the hearts of the people and asserted that India would continue to operate in accordance with its Constitution.
