New Delhi, 06 September (City Times): Mohan Bhagwat’s Emphasis on Preserving Family : In a recent gathering of senior citizens, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat highlighted the importance of preserving and passing down India’s rich family values to the younger generation. Bhagwat emphasized that in a world where family systems are eroding globally, India continues to uphold its family traditions and values.
The Resilience of Indian Family Values
Mohan Bhagwat praised the enduring strength of India’s family value system, attributing its resilience to the country’s deep-rooted cultural traditions and heritage. He emphasized that these values have been historically conveyed through books and stories, ensuring their continuity across generations.
Empowering Senior Citizens
Bhagwat also addressed the perception of senior citizens in society, often associated with helplessness and dependency. He expressed concerns about the younger generation’s growing focus on materialism and the existence of elements in society that promote immorality. In response, Bhagwat urged senior citizens to take on the responsibility of enlightening the youth with wisdom and passing down the values they have inherited.
A Call for Positive Contribution
Furthermore, Bhagwat encouraged senior citizens to contribute positively to society through their actions and experiences. Avinash Telang, the general secretary of the organization, suggested that the government should establish an independent Lok Adalat (People’s Court) to address the grievances of senior citizens and effectively resolve their issues.
