Empowering Employment: Rozgar Mela a Key Initiative in India’s Development Path
New Delhi [India], August 26 (ANI): Rozgar Mela: On August 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally distribute over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals, as confirmed by an official statement. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri will distribute appointment letters on the same day in Punjab.
Empowering Through Employment
Border Security Force (BSF) Punjab Frontier announced the event on X, stating, “Empowerment through jobs. The distribution of the 8th batch of appointment letters is scheduled for August 28, 2023, during the 45th Rozgar Mela, with BSF Punjab, Jalandhar, graced by the presence of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the leader of our nation, will join us online to deliver his address during this event.”
Continuing a Tradition of Job Opportunities
This initiative follows a similar event on July 22, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 70,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals through video conferencing.
India’s Path to Development
In his virtual address during the previous distribution, PM Modi emphasized the importance of working as a government employee during the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (the festival of India’s 75th year of independence). He noted that India’s next 25 years are crucial and predicted that the country would soon rank among the world’s top three economies. This growth would translate into increased employment opportunities and higher per capita income for citizens.
A Widespread Initiative
The Rozgar Mela was conducted at 44 locations across the country, with recruitments taking place in various Central Government Departments, State Governments, and Union Territories. This effort aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to prioritize employment generation.
A Year-Long Campaign
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the first phase of the ‘Rozgar Mela’ on October 22 last year, marking the commencement of a campaign to provide 10 lakh (1 million) government jobs.
