Dehradun, 04 October (City Times): Uttarakhand Pumped Storage Projects: The hill state of Uttarakhand is set to witness a transformational surge in energy infrastructure, as a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) worth a staggering Rs 15,000 crore was inked between the Uttarakhand Government and JSW Neo Energy Limited. This landmark agreement was sealed in the august presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami during the Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit 2023 roadshow held in New Delhi.

These projects are strategically planned with the lower dam/reservoir at a distance of 8-10 km from the Kosi river at Site 1 in Joskote village of Almora. The upper reservoir is slated for Site 2, located at Kurchaun village of Almora, approximately 16 km away from the Kosi river.
